Our latest release of Cim50, v2023 is just around the corner. Due for release in Autumn 2022, this release contains over 50 new features and existing feature improvements. The functionality added into this release has focussed on improving user experience along with speeding up access to key data.
We have listened to feedback from our customers and partners when deciding what functionality should be included in this release, and we are pleased to give you a brief overview of some of the key items you can look forward to seeing soon.
Quotations – Performance & Functionality Improvements

We have invested a lot of development time into new functionality for the Quotations module, along with improving performance when interacting with Quotations.
● Re-cost Quotations – In the current world of ever increasing inflation, you want to ensure your costs are covered when re-visiting Quotations. Use the new ‘Re-cost’ functionality to ensure your costs and selling prices are up-to-date and reflect the latest costs in the system.
● Quotation Mark-up Improvements – Define individual mark-up percentages against Stock/Non-Stock Material items, along with Labour, Machine, Subcontract, Tooling and Overhead costs. Giving you complete flexibility to mark-up individual elements on your Quotations to allow you to be as competitive as possible whilst retaining as much profitability as possible.

Bill of Materials – Archiving, Resource Improvements & Automated Costing

● Archive Bills of Materials – To facilitate easy data management, we have included the option to archive Bills of Materials. Allowing you to mark old or obsolete stock items as inactive whilst retaining access to the associated Bill of Material.
● Automated Costing – Schedule Bills of Materials to be costed automatically during the overnight CIMi Data Validation process.
● Resource Improvements – Copy Resources and Operations in the Resources Register to speed up the creation of new Operations or Resources.
Stock Control – New Alerts & Data Visibility Improvements

● Purchase Order Receipt Alerts – Configure alerts to be displayed when receiving goods from a Purchase Order in Cim50.
● Data Visibility Improvements – A number of minor additions have been included throughout the Stock Control module to make pertinent information available to you in the places needed. See where an item was transferred from when it was Quarantined, or view transaction numbers in stock history.

Works Orders – Traceability Improvements, Smart Links and Processing Improvements

● Traceability Improvements – Provision batch/serial numbers by individual stock item, and amend provisioned numbers at any time.
● Smart Links – Utilise new smart links to quickly navigate between Works Orders, Bills of Materials and Stock Records.
● Processing/Data Visibility Improvements – New options available to automatically issue allocations to works orders. Quickly convert a planning link to a firm link. Improvements to make timesheet entry easier and data visibility improvements in Subcontracting.
