Our newest Cim50 Manufacturing release is here and brings some exciting new features, including many of the highest-rated requests from our customer Wishlist, along with focusing on general usability improvements.
Cim50 v2026 includes a number of new features, updates, and bug fixes.
New Functionality in Cim50 v2026 includes:
Auto Pick priority setting for traceable items
We’ve added a new setting that lets you control the order in which traceable stock is automatically picked. Choose from FIFO (the default), LIFO, Use By or Sell By, so the most appropriate batches are always selected first based on how you manage your stock.
Central location register for stock locations
You can now maintain your stock locations from a single, central location register, giving you one master list to manage rather than ad-hoc entries scattered across the system. A new setting lets you decide whether users can add new locations on the fly when
setting up items and receiving stock, or whether they must select from the approved list, putting you in control of how tightly your locations are managed.
Save and load filters when creating stocktakes
When creating a new stocktake, you can now save the filter combinations you use most often and reload them whenever you need them. This takes the repetition out of setting up your routine stocktakes, letting you get straight to counting.
Stock alerts now cover additional manufacturing transaction types
We’ve broadened the reach of stock alerts so they now trigger across additional manufacturing transaction types. With more sources of stock movement covered, you’ll be notified from a wider range of activity throughout Cim50.
Stock by Location form for traceable items
A new Stock by Location form gives you a clear, single-screen view of your traceable stock, showing the quantity of each batch held at every location. This makes it easy to understand exactly where your traceable stock is sitting at a glance.
Archive individual Works Orders
Alongside the existing bulk archiving routines, you can now archive individual works orders directly from the works order list. This makes it easy to tidy away completed or unwanted orders one at a time, keeping your active list focused on current work.
Validation against use-by and sell-by dates on goods out transactions
Cim50 now validates traceable batches against their use-by and sell-by dates on goods out transactions. Whenever you issue, dispatch, or adjust stock that is past its date, you’ll be warned, helping you avoid sending out-of-date stock to your customers or into production.
Action reschedule recommendations directly from MRP.
MRP can now action reschedule recommendations directly from the recommendations grid, alongside the existing make and buy actions. This means you can respond to changes in demand and supply and bring your orders back into line without leaving the recommendations screen.
MRP now includes servicing recommendations for machines and tools
MRP now generates servicing recommendations for your machines and tools, sitting alongside the usual material and works order recommendations. This helps you plan maintenance proactively and keep your key resources serviced before they’re needed for production.
New setting to prevent bookings against completed operations.
A new setting lets you control whether bookings can be made against operations that have already been completed. Available in both the core Cim50 solution and our Shop Floor Data Capture module, it helps prevent time being booked against work that is
already finished.
Attach SharePoint files and web links throughout Cim50
Records throughout Cim50now support attaching SharePoint files and web links in addition to local file attachments. This makes it far easier to link to documents stored centrally, so everyone is working from the same up-to-date information wherever a record is viewed.
