🌟 Employee Spotlight

Following Charlotte’s wedding in August, Rog and Debs marked a special milestone in September, celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary with a magical getaway to Zakynthos. The pair first met while working at a previous company and have now shared 25 years of professional collaboration. Together, they bring an impressive 37½ years of combined CIM expertise to the support desk, offering a wealth of knowledge, experience, and dedication to the team.

🏆 Company Achievements

In August, our team efficiently managed 408 support calls across all software solutions. We observed a noticeable rise in requests related to layout and report modifications. While our Support Desk is well-equipped to handle quick, straightforward changes, typically those taking under 15 minutes, more complex or entirely new layout and report requests are escalated to our expert Consultancy Team for detailed review and quoting.

We take pride in our ability to design and deliver high-quality, tailored reports. Our team consistently produces clear, insightful, and well-structured reports that meet a wide range of client needs, ensuring data is not only accessible but also actionable.0

💡Hints & Tips

Did you know you can customise List Views in Sage 200 to suit your needs and even export them directly to Excel?

This can often eliminate the need for report amendments or the creation of entirely new reports. Here’s how:

  • Customise Your View: Right-click on any column header in a list view (e.g., Customers, Suppliers, Orders) and select “Columns” to add or remove fields such as credit limits, outstanding balances, or currency.
  • Reorder Columns: Simply drag and drop columns to arrange them in the order that works best for you.
  • Export to Excel: Right-click anywhere in the list view and choose “Export > Export to Excel” from the menu. Your customised view will open in Excel, ready for further analysis or sharing.

You can quickly access context-sensitive guidance by clicking the question mark icon in the top-right corner of the screen. This will take you directly to Sage’s help articles relevant to the area you’re working in, perfect for quick, on-the-spot support. Alternatively, just press F1 on your keyboard for instant access to the same helpful resources.

The audit logs in Cim200 are a valuable feature that provides visibility into changes made within Bill of Materials, Works Orders, and Stock Control. Within Stock Control, it allows you to see who modified a stock record and when, making it easier to trace errors or confirm specific actions.

You can find the Stock Audit Trail in Cim200 via:
Path 1:
Stock Control > Stock Records > Amend Stock Item Details > Audit Log
Path 2:
Stock Control > Enquiries > View Stock Item Details > Audit Log

🌍 CIM Challenge

October is shaping up to be a busy month!

We’re kicking things off on 4th October with a Golf Day, where we’ll be tackling 36 holes in one day. That’s roughly 8 miles of walking, possibly more if our shots don’t go quite as planned!

Then, on Friday, 10th October, we’ll be lighting up the streets of Southampton as we take part in the Shine Night Walk in support of Cancer Research UK. Keep an eye out for photos in next month’s newsletter! And don’t be surprised if the Bake-Off makes a spooky return at the end of October… Halloween-themed cupcakes might be on the menu!
