Support Newsletter – April 2023 – Sage 200

Welcome to the April edition of the CIM Support newsletter.

Financial Year End

For a number of our clients, it’s that time of year when the financial year closes (31/03/2023) and you are preparing for running Year End in Sage 200.

One of the most frustrating problems for the user who runs Year End is that other users have not logged out of Sage.  Sometimes these users are ‘Disconnected Logins’ and you can remove them from the program using the article provided below (User Login Status).  However, on occasion, they may have closed a Remote Desktop Session without logging out of Sage.  When this occurs you will have to contact [email protected] and we will remove the user from the SQL database.

Below are some useful articles including how to run Year End and other supporting questions or queries you may have.

Error Messages in Sage 200

Whilst processing in Sage 200 you may suddenly find that an error message appears.

To assist us with troubleshooting this error message, we ask that you email us [email protected] with an image of the error message (snip & sketch is very useful) along with detailed processing steps, such as New Order, Amend Order, Post Invoice etc.  The more information you can provide the quicker we can assist to resolve the error message.

Report of the Month

Aged Reconciliation Customer and Supplier

These reports can help to identify allocation date differences and help to understand why your Aged Debtors/Creditor nominal code balance does not reconcile with and Aged Debtor/Creditor report.

If you would like these reports added to your Sage200 software please let us know.

CIM Challenge

Our CIM Challenge for 2023 is to walk 11,072 miles, that’s the equivalent of walking the coastline of mainland Britain. Whilst we won’t actually be walking the coastline, we will be updating you each month with how many miles we have walked collectively as a company.

During February 2023 we walked 769.49 miles. Again, we have exceeded our expected mileage to the end of February by 31.09 miles.

What a fantastic effort by all at CIM.

CIM Software is fundraising for Alfie’s Wish (justgiving.com)

We hope these guides/articles will be of assistance, however, if you wish to discuss these further, please contact the support team by clicking the button at the bottom of this newsletter.

With Financial Year End fast approaching, did you know that the CIM Support Desk can assist with a back-up of your live data and create a new company (if required) free of charge?

If you would like to take advantage of this, all we ask is that we are given a minimum of two working days’ notice to schedule it in.

Please note this only applies to one data set, multiple data sets would be chargeable and have a longer lead time.
