Welcome to the August edition of the CIM Support newsletter.
During August, Sage will be releasing a new version of Sage 50 Accounts – version 29.2
Sage 50 Accounts
Important!
When there is a new release of Sage 50 Accounts it is so important that you do not upgrade until you have checked whether the versions of your third-party applications are compatible, such as Cim50, whether any bespoke programs or applications require upgrading, or any ODBC reports need reconnecting.
Following any release of Sage 50 Accounts we receive a high number of support calls from customers who upgraded their Sage 50 Accounts only to find that Cim50 or other applications were not compatible. This puts a strain on our support resources, as we do not want our customers to be without a system, but we cannot always react to the level we would normally, so please reach out if you are thinking of upgrading.
Are you aware that CIM offers a peace of mind upgrade service?
We can provide different levels of upgrade service, which can include a review of your hardware for compatibility, to minimise downtime during the live upgrade we can take a copy of your data and run it through a test upgrade, ensure that any 3rd party applications, bespoke development and reports, etc are all upgraded for you. We will assign one of our Consultants to carry out the upgrade on an agreed date and they can also provide training to bring users up to speed with the latest new features.
If the upgrade service is something you would be interested in, please contact your Account Manager, Martin Conner who will be only too pleased to talk to you about the process that works for you, provide a quotation for our time, and let you know our current lead time.

CIM Challenge
Not all superhero’s wear capes……… but this one did!

The holiday season is upon us and unfortunately we are seeing the effect of this on our mileage.
During July 2023 we walked 738.13 miles meaning that we are off target by 249.7 miles.
However, there is something to celebrate. One of our colleagues has broken the 1,000 mile mark, clocking up an impressive 1,048 miles to date. 👏🏼
