Roger Hunt
Position: Operations Director
Achievements: Roger has been a dedicated member of the CIM team since 2006, bringing a wealth of experience and an in-depth knowledge of all our products. Over the years, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to excellence. We are thrilled to announce that Roger has recently been promoted to Operations Director. In this new role, he will continue to drive operational efficiency and innovation, ensuring that CIM remains at the forefront of our industry.
🏆 Company Achievements
Support Calls January 2025
Details: In January, we handled 519 support calls across all the software we support. While our Support Team strives to address every enquiry, some require specialised expertise. For bespoke program requirements, we refer enquiries to our Development Team. Training or report design requests are directed to our Consultancy Team, and any IT-related issues (for clients with an IT contract) are managed by our IT Team.
CIM Software has appointed two new Directors
Details: We are thrilled to announce the promotion of two members of our senior leadership team to the board of directors. Martin Conner, previously our Commercial Manager, has become our Commercial Director and Roger Hunt, previously our Operations Manager, has become our Operations Director. Both Martin and Roger are long-standing members of the CIM team and we wish them all the best in their new roles. These promotions were effective as of 1st January 2025 and are an exciting start to the new year and this next chapter of CIM Software.

💡 Tips & Tricks
Tip 1: Invoice & Order User Permissions
Details: We frequently receive support calls where one user can amend a price on a sales order, while a colleague with the same role cannot. This discrepancy arises because sales order and invoice user permissions in Sage 200 are configured individually for each user. You can configure Sage 200 to manage which users have access to view or edit specific sections of your sales orders and invoices. These permissions are flexible and can be adjusted at any time. Initially, no permissions are assigned to any user by default. Please click here for information on how to set and/or amend invoice and order user permissions.
Tip 2: Upgrading Sage 200
Details: Upgrading your software comes with numerous benefits, including enhanced features, improved security, and compliance with legislation. Most importantly, it ensures you are not using an unsupported version. If you continue using an unsupported version, Sage may not provide assistance for issues that CIM cannot resolve. CIM will support the software on a ‘best endeavours’ basis, but unsupported versions do not receive bug fixes or updates, which can lead to operational problems.
If you are using Sage 200 2022 R2 (Database Version 12.00.0047), it is recommended to upgrade since Sage support ends in August 2025. To check your version of Sage 200, follow these steps:
- Open Sage 200: Launch the Sage 200 application on your computer.
- Access Settings: Click on the Cog (Settings) button located at the top right corner of the main Sage 200 screen.
- About Sage 200: Select About Sage 200 from the dropdown menu.
- View Version Information: A new window will open displaying the version number of your Sage 200 installation

🌍 CIM Challenge
Details: The votes are in! In May 2025, we’ll be taking on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge. This exciting event offers the chance to walk, jog, or run distances ranging from 10k to 100k along the stunning Dorset coast.
This year, we’ve chosen Cancer Research UK as our charity. Many of us have been touched by cancer in some way, and this year, it hits particularly close to home as James’s partner is currently undergoing cancer treatment. Supporting Cancer Research UK is our way of contributing to the fight against this disease and showing solidarity with those affected
