Steve Kelly, BP Support Technician

Steve joined CIM in 2015 as a Support Technician. In recent years, he has transitioned into a role focused on supporting our Business Partners, though he still occasionally lends a hand on the support desk. Over the coming months, you’ll be hearing more from Steve, as he will be seconded to the support team throughout July, August, and September.

Steve brings valuable expertise in both the 50 and 200 suites. Outside of work, he’s a dedicated fitness enthusiast, last year, he completed the impressive feat of running 100km in a single day. More recently, he’s taken up baking as part of our Bake Off Challenge, and last month he earned the title of Star Baker with his delicious flapjacks.

Support Calls May 2025

In May, our team successfully managed 513 support calls across all our software solutions. We saw a noticeable increase in queries related to year-end processes. The team responded to all enquiries promptly and efficiently, and we hope the support you received met your expectations.

💡Hints & Tips

Year End

If you haven’t run your Year End, we strongly recommend reviewing the Sage Help Guide. It offers essential information on the Year End process, including the steps to take beforehand and what to expect once it’s completed.

If you require a backup to be taken before processing Year End, please ensure you schedule this with the support desk. We require a minimum notice period of two working days. Additionally, if your Year End process involves setting up new Sage 200 companies, please note that this is a chargeable service and typically requires a minimum notice period of four weeks.

New Release

With the recent release of Sage 200 2025 R1, we are currently in the process of testing Cim200 for compatibility with this latest version. We will send out a notification as soon as compatibility has been confirmed.

🌍 CIM Challenge

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve officially hit our fundraising goal of £1,000! 🎉 This incredible milestone is a testament to the generosity, spirit, and support of everyone who contributed. 🌟🌟🌟

Thank you for helping us make a real difference, together, we’ve turned ambition into achievement! But the journey doesn’t stop here… it’s not too late to donate! Every extra pound raised will go even further in supporting this amazing cause.

On Saturday, our team of walkers took on the Big Hike in Dorset. Roger and Luke completed the full marathon distance of 26 miles, while Becca, Sam, and Ethan S tackled the half marathon at 13 miles. Paul also completed a half marathon on his own around Ashurst and Lyndhurst with a stunning time of 3 hours and 25 minutes.

True to tradition with CIM walking challenges, it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year, but that didn’t stop our team from smashing it! The views along the route were absolutely breathtaking, and Roger even said he’d be up for doing it again next year because it was that stunning.

Yesterday, we hosted our third CIM Bake-Off, where participants were challenged to bake chocolate brownies.

Once again, our colleagues had the delightful task of sampling all the brownies and voting for their favourite. Who doesn’t love a brownie?

Congratulations to Ethan S who was this month’s Star Baker and Stu who was our runner-up!
