Hello and welcome to the October edition of the CIM Support newsletter.

The CIM Support newsletter has been put together to collate all supports calls from our customers and partners throughout the month. This gives us the insight required to suggest suitable resources to hopefully assist you in your day to day processing.

Having reviewed the support calls received during May 2021 we have found that the help guides below were the most common topics.

Sage 50 Accounts

Which tax code should I use? – from 1st Jan 2021 (UK Only)

Use this guide to help you find the relevant tax code to use when postings a transactions.

Sage 50cloud Accounts – Which report?

This guide introduces the Report Finder tool and explains how to use it for Sage 50cloud Accounts.

A-Z index of check data errors, warning & comments

When you check your data, if you receive any errors or warnings, we recommend you fix these before continuing. Comments are for information only, although you may want to check these from time to time.

If you use Remote Data Access or Sage Drive, you can only use the recovery tools at the main site.

Sage 50 Accounts v26 and above – data corruption can be fixed automatically in your software, please follow the steps in your software to fix data corruption.

Guide to configuring analysis fields

Analysis fields are a great way to capture additional information that cannot be stored in the standard Cim50 fields. These can then be used om reports/ layouts, added to some list views within Cim50 and used to help filter your data during stock take and searches.

Guide to backing up in Cim50

Prior to running any major processes in Cim50 e.g., importing a large amount of data, running a batch change on a large number or records, updating your stock take figures etc. You many want to take a backup so you can restore if something goes wrong, or you are no happy with the results. 

Guide to adding a new user Cim50 v2021 

Prior to a new user starting there are several steps that must be followed to allow them to access Cim50. This guide assumes Sage 50 and Cim50 have already been installed/ licenced and configured on the machine.
