Welcome to the September edition of the CIM Support newsletter.
During August, Sage released a new version of Sage 50 Accounts – version 29.2
Sage 50 Accounts
As with all releases from Sage, there are some new features in the latest version that may be of interest to you. To find out more about these new features please click here.
One of the new features is the option to raise a Purchase Order from a Sales Order from the touch of a button saving you time from having to manually create the purchase order.
Sage are running some webinars to demonstrate the new features, you can join a session by registering here. The webinars last 45 minutes and are available on:
7th September @ 14:00 hrs
13th September @ 11:00 hrs
22nd September @ 11:00hrs
27th September @ 11:00 hrs
If you can’t make these dates I would recommend that you register because you will then be sent a recording of the session that you can watch at a more convenient time.
Important! “I don’t want to upgrade”
If you do not want to upgrade to the latest version of Sage Accounts it is highly recommended that you set the Software Update Settings to Manual. This will ensure that the pop-up reminding you to upgrade does not appear and it will also stop the risk of upgrading Sage Accounts and finding that it is not compatible with any third party add-ons.
To set the Software Update Settings to Manual go to Help > Software Update Settings and select ‘I’ll check for Updates’.
Cim50
Important!
Because our latest release of Cim50 v2023.2 was available before Sage Accounts 29.2 was released we have released a hotfix to ensure that Cim50 will be compatible with Sage should you choose to upgrade. The hotfix will automatically be applied to each site running Cim50 v2023.2.

CIM Challenge
Although we are behind target with our miles, we have started to reduce the deficit.
During August 2023 we walked 824.2 miles meaning that we are off target by 348.1 miles. Fingers crossed for a successful September and to closing that gap, little by little!
I’m pleased to announce that we have another employee who has joined the 1,000+ miles club. This exclusive club currently has two members who both enjoy a walk
