Sage 50 Accounts
Do you use Bank Feeds and sometimes wonder if it’s working because there’s nothing to download? There’s a helpful website that provides updates on any issues with Sage services, including Bank Feeds. You can check it out here. It might be worth bookmarking for future reference as the site also informs you about any planned maintenance.
Report of the Month
Two for one offer! This month we are offering reports detailing Inactive Customers and Inactive Suppliers. The reports detail the date an invoice was last produced/entered along with the balance.

Cim50 – Spotlight on our customer Price Western Leather
Situation
Price Western Leather (PWL) is one of Europe’s major manufacturers of leather and synthetic security equipment. PWL products are manufactured locally within their state-of-the-art factory in Somerset. These products are sold both throughout the UK and worldwide, through a vast network of distributors and agents in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
Previously, they used Sage 50 Manufacturing alongside Sage 50 Accounts to manage their manufacturing processes. This had served the company well but with a lack of development, it was beginning to show its age.
Their MD, Jonathan said “After ten years of using Sage 50 Manufacturing and with a lack of development for the product, we’d reached the limits of what the system could deliver.”
Solution
In 2017, Price Western Leather were presented with Cim50, a new, revolutionary manufacturing package to control all aspects of their business.
More specifically, a system that would deliver enhanced stock control, more accurate costing of works orders and consistent development improvements.
PWL purchased a four user Cim50 system with Stock Control, Bill of Materials, Works Orders, Quotations and Planning.
A CIM Software consultant worked on site, implementing the software modules to the organisation’s needs, and helping to migrate data swiftly from Sage 50 Manufacturing using the Cim50 migration tool.
CIM Software also provided training on Cim50, with additional training covering its powerful reporting capabilities.
Success
Working day to day, PWL have found the additional features in Cim50 compared to Sage 50 Manufacturing have certainly helped them streamline their processes.
Cim50 provides a quick analysis of material availability and overall position of jobs which enables them to efficiently understand what they need, what they’re doing and where any gaps are.
In terms of saving time, Jonathan feels the business has made many additional small savings by using the Cim50 solution compared to their previous software solution.

Made in Britain
Our Manufacturing Software Solutions for Sage, were Made in Britain for British Manufacturers. To help showcase this, CIM Software Ltd has become a member of the official Made in Britain Organisation.
Design and development of our Cim50 product started 10 years ago in 2014 and this was released to 3 beta testing sites in August 2017. Today, we’re proud to be supporting hundreds of small British manufacturers with this comprehensive manufacturing solution.
Following the success of Cim50 Manufacturing, our in-house team began developing Cim200 Manufacturing for Sage 200 in 2019 which was released to the market in January 2022.
To this day, all new releases and bespoke developments are still completed by our in-house development team here in Britain.
