Scroll to the bottom of the newsletter to see the team, this month the spotlight is on Debbie, our Support Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#282460;font-size:18px\"><strong>Sage 50 Accounts<\/strong> <strong>Year End<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\">Below is an outline for running Year End which I hope you will find useful.&nbsp; I will also provide you with a link to join a webinar for processing Year End.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Before<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">All outstanding transactions are posted, including any adjustments from your accountant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">If you usually run a month end, ensure that you have run this<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Print copies of Management Reports, i.e. P&amp;L and BS<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Running Year End<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Check your data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Check your Chart of Accounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Backup your data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Create an archive dataset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Set up budgets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Check the correct date is showing before running Year End<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Enter a lock date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Run Year End<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>After<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Check the Financial Year is correct for the new year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Check your brought forward TB<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Check your data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Create another backup<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Optional Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Clear your audit trail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Clear your stock (if you clear your stock the retrospective stock valuation report will no longer provide accurate results)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Remove old records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Remove old invoices\/orders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:17px\">Compress your data<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Webinar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sign up for the Sage Year End webinar that you take you through all the steps mentioned above.&nbsp;
