The Sage 50 Manufacturing solution has now been retired. All support and services from Sage for the product ended on 30th September 2021. This includes the following Sage Manufacturing variants; Bill of Materials, Batch Controller, Job Controller, Manufacturing Controller and Operation Times.
Since the release of Sage 50 Accounts Version 28 we have been able to confirm that there is a compatibility issue between Sage 50 Manufacturing and Sage 50 Accounts Version 28 and above.
This issue will result in users being unable to print any reports, or documents or being able to access the business solution at all.
With Windows 10 end of life in October 2025, it is important to note, Sage 50 Manufacturing has not been tested on Windows 11 and therefore remaining on Windows 10 presents a security risk to Sage 50 Manufacturing users and migrating to Windows 11 is unsupported.
Therefore, we would strongly advise not upgrading Sage 50 Accounts to v28, or above, or migrating to Windows 11 whilst still using any of the Sage 50 Manufacturing software solution variants.
Our recommendation would be to migrate to Cim50 Manufacturing, which is fully compatible with the latest versions of Sage 50 Accounts and Windows 11. We have a migration tool available, so we can seamlessly move your data with as little downtime as possible and none of your valuable data lost in the process.
Cim50 has been developed with Sage 50 Manufacturing’s look and feel, just with a modern interface and lots of additional features.
