Cim50 and Cim200 were Made in Britain for British Manufacturers. To this day, all new releases and bespoke developments are still completed by our in-house development team here in Britain. To help showcase this, CIM Software Ltd has become a member of the official Made in Britain Organisation.
CIM Services is founded.
We started operating from our offices in Totton, Southampton and became Swan Manufacturing & Sage Line 100 business partners.
Management Buyout
Shirley Lang, Jamie Ebdon and Ian Ebdon carried out a management buyout. Shirley became Finance Director, Jamie Operation Director, and Ian became Managing Director.
Sage 50 Manufacturing
Sage released their Sage 50 Manufacturing product, which we quickly added to our product portfolio.
Swan Manufacturing Partner of the Year Awards
CIM Services awarded Swan Manufacturing Partner of the Year every year between 1991 and 2006. These awards ceased in 2007.
Sage Manufacturing Partner of the Year Awards
CIM Services awarded Sage Manufacturing Partner of the Year every year except for 2 from 2003-2012. These awards ceased in 2013.
Ian Ebdon retired
After 23 years with the company, Ian (Managing Director) retired from the business.
Stuart Rowcliffe appointed as Technical Director
Stuart joined the business in 2009, initially as a support technician and then joined the development team shortly afterwards.
CIM Software Ltd created
CIM Software was incorporated in January 2017 for the purposes of reselling our Cim50 Manufacturing software.
Cim50 Manufacturing Software released
After 3 years of design and development, Cim50 was released to 3 beta testing sites in August 2017.
Sage ISV Agreement
CIM Software entered a partnership agreement with Sage and Cim50 became the recommended replacement for Sage 50 Manufacturing.
Sage Innovation Award
CIM Software won ‘Sage Solution Innovation Partner of the Year, 2021’ for our Cim50 Carbon Footprint Calculator.
Sage 50 Manufacturing Retired
Sage retired their Sage 50 Manufacturing software in September 2021.
INFOR:Swan Manufacturing Retired
INFOR retired Swan Manufacturing from their product portfolio.
Cim200 Manufacturing Software released
Following the success of Cim50 Manufacturing, we began developing Cim200 Manufacturing for Sage 200 in 2019, this was released to the market in January 2022, incorporating functionality from both Sage 200 Manufacturing, INFOR:Swan Manufacturing and Cim50.
Sage Tech Partner Plus
CIM Software are awarded the status ‘Sage Tech Partner Plus’.
Shirley Jessop Retired
After 27 years with the company, Shirley (Financial Director) retired from the business.
Two New Directors
Martin Conner was promoted to Commercial Director and Roger Hunt to Operations Director.
Purchased by Everfield
CIM Software joins the Everfield ecosystem, becoming part of a European group of software companies.
In 2025 the CIM Software team took on the challenge of walking a marathon, a Bake Off and a Cancer Research UK walk! Why? To raise funds for a brilliant charities, like Alfie’s Wish and Cancer Research UK. Both of which are close to the CIM Software team’s hearts.
