This June, we’re embarking on our biggest challenge as part of our charity challenge for Alfie’s Wish… We’re all individually walking our own miles each day to help reach the company target of 11,072 by the end of 2023. But, whilst the walks we’re doing all add up, we’re looking to push ourselves one step further and complete a group walk consisting of 26 miles in one day.
The brave group of walkers will be leaving from Southampton, early in the morning, walking along the Itchen Way to Winchester, and then back again. The route is a little over 26 miles and includes a nice lunch stop for some much-needed refuelling half-way. This walk is estimated to take over 10 hours including refreshment breaks. So far, we’ve got a team of 10 up for taking on the challenge which will help boost our total miles by a fantastic 260 miles…
The marathon walk will be taking place in early June and all funds raised will be going towards our total for Alfie’s Wish. Local charity Alfie’s Wish support the families of children with cancer by providing them with special days out to make memories. As a company, this is a charity that is very close to our hearts.
