Last year was the 30th anniversary of our business.
CIM Services was 30 years old, and yet it didn’t seem right to celebrate this anniversary at the time. We were in the midst of the strangest times our generation had lived through. Numerous businesses were closing their doors for the final time, leaving so many people unsure of their futures. Why should we be the ones to celebrate 30 years of success, when there was so much doom and gloom all around. Well, with a new year, comes a new hope and time to reflect. The last few years have been some of our most successful. Success isn’t just measured by financial gain, but on the achievements made and relationships built.
We achieved a lot in the last couple of years.
One of our main investments was extending our premises, which was needed to help grow the business. Talk about bad timing! We moved out, the builders moved in, stripped out the building, and Covid struck! It couldn’t have been a worse time. To rub salt in the wounds, we all started working from home and actually made a success of it. We wondered if we ever needed to go back into the office at all! Of course, we realised after a while that we did. We missed each other too much. We aren’t just colleagues, but a family, who flourish together as a team. It was inevitable that we would end up back together. Finally when the building was finished and the first lockdown was over, we made it back.
What a difference ! We had created an amazing space, which will hold us in good stead for the years to come.

Reflecting on our 30 years in business anniversary, we have to say a big thank you to our customers who have put their trust in us over that time. We have numerous customers who have been with us since the beginning, who have grown with us and who we have shared mutual success with.
We are continually building relationships with our customers, old and new, and look forward to all the new opportunities those relationships will bring in the future.
Our business has changed and developed over the years. From our roots as a Swan Manufacturing business partner, developing our relationship with Sage and becoming an award-winning Sage Manufacturing business partner, we branched out in 2015 and started to provide IT hardware, Telephony services and IT Support to complement our ambitions in becoming a complete solution provider. This ambition took on new momentum when we started to develop our own Manufacturing software, Cim50 Manufacturing, and our new Cim200 Manufacturing offerings for Sage 50 and Sage 200 respectively.
We built a network of 20 partners from the UK, Ireland, and Malaysia. In 2020 we signed an Strategic ISV (Independent Software Vendor) partner agreement with Sage and our Cim50 product was added to their Marketplace. Furthermore, with our recently added Carbon Footprint functionality, Sage awarded us with the Solution Innovation Partner of the Year Award.
After all the uncertainty the last couple of years have bought, we are pleased to say that there is hope for brighter times ahead. We hope that we can continue to grow, employ, and make the best manufacturing products to enable us, our partners, and our customers to thrive. Afterall, your success, is our success.
