From 31st December this year, 2024, Sage 1000 will be end of life. This means Sage themselves will stop supporting the product and there will be no further development or updates provided for the solution either. Sage will be gradually reducing their support for Sage 1000 over this year before its termination in December. For those still using the solution, they are going to issue a five year extended licence, enabling users to continue using the solution until 2029 without support.
What does this mean for you?
Your business can continue to use your Sage 1000 product but it is advisable to start looking for alternatives as soon as possible. Why? Using an end of life product not only leaves your business vulnerable should the software stop working but you will not benefit from any additional features and functionality nor any critical security updates.
What are the Sage 1000 alternatives?
There are many Sage 1000 alternatives available on the market in the ERP space. If your business is within the manufacturing industry, then Sage 200 might be the most suitable migration path. If your business feels it has outgrown the Sage 1000 solution then Sage Intacct or Sage X3 are alternative Sage options.
