Support Newsletter – November 2023 – Sage 200

Welcome to the November edition of the CIM Support newsletter. This month we will be looking at solutions for the most common support calls we receive.

Disconnected Logins

You may receive this message on occasion when you are trying to access an area of the program such as posting an invoice, amending a sales order etc.  The reason this message appears is that the system crashed whilst a user was processing in a certain area and this area has been locked.

You can remove disconnected logins by following the steps below.

  • Select  Tools > User login Status
  • Select the Disconnected logins tab
  • Select the users to log off

Note: It usually takes around 5 minutes for a disconnected login to appear in the list.

Click Log Off.

SOP Permissions

We are often asked why a user cannot amend the unit price or the discount value etc on a Sales Order.  It seems strange as another user with the same Role can do it, so it’s a bit of a head-scratcher.  The solution is to ensure that the user has been given access to amend additional functionality on Sales Orders and Invoices.

  • Open: Sales Order Processing > SOP Utilities > System Set Up > User Permissions
  • Open: Invoicing > Invoicing Utilities > System Set Up > User Permissions
  • Click Add to enter permissions for the first time or Edit to change existing permissions
  • Choose the user and select the appropriate check boxes

New! Cim200 Graphical Scheduler

CIM has released their new Graphical Scheduler which will assist you with taking control of your production planning.  Information on this new product can be viewed on our website or if you would like a demo, please contact your Account Manager, Juuso Santti.

CIM Challenge

During October 2023 we walked 712.63 miles and we are now in a good position to keep pushing forward to ensure we hit our target of 11,072 miles by the end of the year.

There’s not much else to do now the clocks have changed, so we may as well walk.

CIM Software is fundraising for Alfie’s Wish (justgiving.com)

We hope these guides/articles will be of assistance, however, if you wish to discuss these further, please contact the support team by clicking the button at the bottom of this newsletter.

With Financial Year End fast approaching, did you know that the CIM Support Desk can assist with a back-up of your live data and create a new company (if required) free of charge?

If you would like to take advantage of this, all we ask is that we are given a minimum of two working days’ notice to schedule it in.

Please note this only applies to one data set, multiple data sets would be chargeable and have a longer lead time.
