Who are Verplas?
Founded in 1986 in Dorset, Verplas manufacture plastic ventilation products predominantly for the new build housing market. They specialise in fast-fitting, easy-to-install, indoor air quality products, and sell to housing developers in the UK and Europe.
Sustainability is an imperative part of Verplas’ ethos. Their products are created using nearly 100% recycled materials, and they are currently investing in new energy-efficient machinery. Their teams are also undergoing lean manufacturing training to help further reduce waste and improve efficiencies across the business.
Verplas have won a number of sustainability and customer service awards, testament to their hard work in recent years creating a new working culture and redefining their company values.
Sage 200 Manufacturing Retirement
Verplas initially used Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Manufacturing before upgrading to Sage 200 and Sage 200 Manufacturing in 2017 as their business grew.
With Sage 200 Manufacturing entering retirement in January 2021 and Sage discontinuing all support for the solution in December 2025, Verplas began looking for an alternative system.
Key to this project was finding a robust manufacturing system with

Verplas considered a number of solutions but found Cim200 most suitable for their needs due to its similar look and feel to Sage 200, its extensive feature list and simple migration process. Verplas felt that Cim200 offered a solution that could grow with their business whilst maintaining operational continuity.

Migrating to Cim200
Thanks to the seamless Migration Utility, we are able to migrate data from a number of systems, including Sage 200 Manufacturing, into Cim200 in a matter of minutes, enabling users to start working in the new system without the need to run down their old Sage 200 Manufacturing solution.

Future Plans with Cim200
Looking into the future, Verplas are looking forward to fully utilising their Cim200 Solution to improve their operational efficiency, reduce their stock holding and automate the reporting and tracking for a range of KPIs.
Additional features in Cim200 that Verplas are looking forward to utilising are waste by-products, automated carbon emission reporting, and, most crucially, MRP.

Verplas had 36 pieces of bespoke development for their Sage 200 Manufacturing solution, many of which are now redundant due to the functionality being included as standard within the Cim200 Manufacturing Solution. This enables the solution to run more efficiently.
