Maintenance

There are a number of settings that will determine when recommendations to service and/or calibrate machines will be raised in MRP.

Service Interval: Defines the service interval value for the selected interval period definition.

Interval Period Definitions include

  • Hours – number of hours between services
  • Days – number of days between services
  • Weeks – number of weeks between services
  • Fortnights – number of fortnights between services
  • Months – number of months between services
  • Quarters – number of quarters between services
  • Years – number of years between services
  • Quantity – the number of items manufactured by that machine between services.

Service time period method: This setting determines whether the service interval defined is based on calendar time or run time.

  • Calendar time: Absolute time between service intervals.
  • Run time: The amount of time the machine has been running.

Calibration Interval: Defines the machine calibration interval value for the selected interval period definition.

Scheduler

There are settings applicable to the Labour Resource which impact the Cim200 Scheduler.

Number of Machines: This field indicates the number of machines available within this resource. The Cim200 Scheduler will use this information to determine when overloads occur within the production schedule.

Calendar: This setting determines the working calendar that is relevant to this resource. The Cim200 Scheduler will use this calendar to determine utilisation figures across the relevant calendar working periods.

Notes Tab

Rich Text Notes

On the Notes tab, the text can be enhanced by using Rich Text formatting features. These features can be used, for example, to highlight important instructions to production staff.

The font type, size and colour can be set to the whole text, or just to specific words or sections. Similarly, text can be made bold, underlined, or italicised.

Note: Rich Text formatting can be used in Sage layouts, but this requires the layouts to be produced using Crystal Reports instead of the standard Report Designer.

To apply rich text features, highlight the section of text to format then choose from the Rich Text formatting options:

  • Font Style : Select the preferred font style from the drop-down list.
  • Font Size : Select the preferred font size from the drop-down list.
  • Bold : Click to set/unset the selected text as Bold.
  • Italic : Click to set/unset the selected text as Italicised.
  • Underline : Click to set/unset the selected text as underlined.
  • Font Colour : Select the preferred font colour from the palette.

Carbon Footprint Tab

The Carbon Footprint tab is used to record which fuel(s) a machine uses and how much of that fuel the machine uses per hour. This information is then used when calculating your businesses carbon footprint.

The list view shows which fuels have been already been setup.

  • To record a new fuel against the machine, click the Add button beneath the list.
  • To amend an existing fuel, select the fuel and click the Edit button beneath the list.
  • To remove an existing fuel, select the fuel and click the Delete button beneath the list.

Adding a Fuel

  1. Select the appropriate Fuel Code from the dropdown list.
  2. The Description will populate automatically.
  3. Enter the Usage Amount. This should be the amount of fuel the vehicle consumes per hour, based on the usage unit defined on the Carbon Footprint Fuel record. You should be able to find this information on the machine specification documentation, or on the machine itself in some circumstances.
