- Select the Subcontract tab.
- Add, amend, delete and select the preferred supplier details.
Note: The supplier must use base currency.
- To add a supplier, click Add and enter the following details:
Code : Select the supplier account. The Name appears automatically.
Order Ref. : Enter an order reference number. This is an internal reference, it does not get copied to the purchase order.
Lead Time : Enter a Lead Time, in working days. Suggested purchase order dates are calculated using the lead time, based on the order/operation start date.
Order Details : The details entered here are copied to the purchase order line when the purchase order is created from the Works Order module.
Note: Click Edit Order Details to display the Edit Order Details window and enter the text required.
Saturday : Select this option if the supplier includes Saturdays in their planning operations. Selecting this will reduce the calculated lead time of the works order operation, if it goes over a Saturday.
Sunday : Select this option if the supplier includes Sundays in their planning operations. Selecting this will reduce the calculated lead time of the works order operation, if it goes over a Sunday.
Cost Heading : Select the cost heading for the subcontract costs.
Note: This can only be an operations cost heading type (Labour, Machine, Tooling or Subcontract).
Currency : The supplier currency is displayed.
Note: To update costs correctly to the Works Order, you must select a subcontract supplier that uses base currency.
- To amend a supplier, select the supplier record and change the details.
- To delete a supplier, select the supplier record and click Delete.
- To set a preferred supplier, select the supplier record from the list and click Set as Preferred. The Pref. column displays Yes for the supplier.
Note: If only one supplier is listed, that supplier is set as the preferred supplier by default.
Manage Quantity Breaks (subcontract operations only)
- Select the supplier record in the Suppliers list.
- Any existing quantity breaks for the supplier are listed.
Add, amend and delete Quantity Breaks (subcontract operations only)
- To add or amend the quantity breaks manually, enter the following details:
Note: Click Add to add a quantity break manually.
From : Enter the start quantity.
To : Enter the end quantity.
Cost : Enter the cost.
Note: The cost is in the supplier’s currency.
Rate Per Item : Select this option if the cost is for each item. Leave clear if this is the total cost for any quantity in the band.
Hours Offsite : Enter the number of hours spent offsite. This is used when calculating schedules.
- To add or amend the quantity breaks automatically, click Auto Generate and enter the details in the Auto Generate Quantity Breaks window.
- To delete a quantity break, select the quantity break and click Delete.
