Links
Works Orders can be linked to demands that they are intended to fulfil, either Sales Orders or higher-level works orders.
The completed stock can be automatically allocated to linked demands. Linking Works Orders to demands also provides greater visibility of what the built item is being produced for.

The Works Order Links area lists the Works Order’s links to other orders.
Link Type : A link type can be either Firm or Planning. Firm links are fixed to the demand order, for example in a made-to-order environment where the Works Order is generated from a Sales Order, or else it is a Jobbing type item and the order was actioned from Planning. Planning links are generated by the Planning module when the Works Order is generated from the Planning module. As demands and replenishments change, links could also change if an MRP run re-assigns the Works Order replenishment to a different demand.
Order Type : A Works Order can be linked to Sales Orders and higher-level Works Orders. It can be a one-to-one link or one-to-multiple, where the Works Order can be linked to multiple demands.
Order Ref. : The order reference of the linked demand Sales or Works Order.
Quantity : The quantity linked to the demand order.
Required Date : The Due Date of the linked demand order line.
Linked By : The Username of the user who created the link.
Date Linked : The date the linked was created.
