Mandatory Stock Fields

When new Stock Item records are added into Stock Control there can often be certain fields which must be set for use by the business; however, as standard many fields are not mandatory. This can lead to items being created without all the necessary details completed.

If all required details are not set it can cause issues later, for example in reporting and analysis.

To assist in ensuring all required fields have been set, Cim200 allows for a number of stock item fields to be made mandatory, preventing the item record from being saved until all mandatory fields have been completed.

Setting Mandatory Stock Fields

Open: Stock Control > Utilities > System Set Up > Cim200 Settings | Stock Control

1. Tick Stock Item Mandatory Fields to allow further fields to be made mandatory.

2. Click on Configure Mandatory Fields to set which stock item details are to be mandatory.

3. Tick the box next to each field that are to be made mandatory. Untick any that are not mandatory.

4. Click Save to save changes to mandatory fields. Click Close to exit without saving changes.
