The MRP rescheduling list view shows the replenishments that MRP would recommend to be rescheduled.
Standard columns include:
Stock Code: The replenishment item stock code.
Description: The replenishment item description.
Type: The type of replenishment.
Reference: The replenishment reference.
Line Number: If the replenishment item is on a Purchase Order, this displays the line number on that PO that it recommends rescheduling.
Current Due Date: The current due date for the replenishment item.
Earliest Required Date: The date that MRP has calculated the stock that will be received, will be needed.
Suggested Due Date: The date MRP suggests changing the due date to, based on that earliest usage date.
Actioning a Reschedule Recommendation
You can now action a reschedule recommendation directly from the MRP Rescheduling list view. Actioning a recommendation will update the due date on the existing Works Order to match the Suggested Due Date and re-schedule the Works Order’s operations backwards from that new due date, using your planning settings, the operation resource calendars and your non-working days.
Note: Only Works Order reschedule recommendations can be actioned. Purchase Order reschedule recommendations remain view-only at this time and will need to be amended on the Purchase Order in Sage 50.
To action one or more reschedule recommendations:
Highlight one or more Works Order reschedule recommendations in the MRP Rescheduling list view. To select more than one row, hold the Ctrl or Shift key while clicking.
Click Process > Action on the toolbar, or right click on a selected row and choose Action from the menu.
The Action Reschedule Recommendation(s) screen will appear.
Confirm that the “Action Selected Recommendations Only” option is ticked. This is the only option available for reschedule recommendations – it tells Cim50 to reschedule each of the Works Orders you highlighted.
Click OK to begin processing.
A progress bar will be displayed while the reschedule is in progress, along with the current Works Order reference being processed.
For each Works Order being rescheduled, Cim50 will:
Update the Works Order due date to the Suggested Due Date shown on the recommendation.
Re-schedule each Works Order operation backwards from the new due date, taking your planning settings, the resource calendars assigned to each operation, and your non-working days into account.
Mark the reschedule recommendation as Actioned so it will no longer appear in the list view the next time it is refreshed.
Once the action has completed, the screen will close and the MRP Rescheduling list view will refresh.
Note: The Action option is only available where you have the “MRP – Action” access right against the Planning module, the recommendation Type is WO (Works Order), and the recommendation has not already been actioned. If you select a row that is a PO (Purchase Order) reschedule the Action option will be disabled.
You can also cancel out of the screen at any time before clicking OK by pressing the Cancel button – no changes will be made to your Works Orders or recommendations.
