Enter New Repeat Make for Stock Record
A Make for Stock record is a way to trigger production of built items where there is no firm demand such as a Sales Order, or higher-level Works Order, as an alternative to setting a reorder level.
Make for Stock records are not processed; they need only to be recorded and released.
Once released, MFS records are included by Demand Schedule and MRP in their lists of demands.
MRP can then produce Make recommendations which can be actioned into Works Orders to produce the required stock.
As an MFS demand is actioned in MRP into a Works Order, a link is created between the Works Order and the MFS demand.
Once the Works Order is complete the MFS record is automatically updated to a Completed status.
MFS records can be created individually as one-off demands, or as repeat demands.
Use this screen to create Repeat demands.
