Analysis codes are extra pieces of information that can be added to Operations. Each analysis code has two parts; a Code for the type of information and a Value, or set of Values, that can be applied to each item.

For Operations, analysis codes are useful as a way of classifying operations to distinguish between them; or as a way of recording additional information about each operation.

For consistency, and to eliminate duplication of effort, the Analysis Code values in the Operation will be automatically copied into the BOM Operation Analysis Codes as the BOM Operation line is added.

Before selecting Analysis Code values for use on an Operation, the analysis codes must be setup in Accounting System Manager, then in Cim200 Bill of Materials > Maintenance > Maintain Operation Analysis Codes.

To setup the Analysis Codes for use in Operations, the Field Label can be set to a different name, which sets the Name that is displayed on the Operation Analysis Codes screen.

Operation Analysis Codes

For BOM Operations, analysis codes are useful as a way of classifying operations to distinguish between them; or as a way of recording additional information about each operation.

For consistency, and to eliminate duplication of effort, if a BOM Operation line is added from the Operations Register, the value set in each Analysis Code on the Operation record will be automatically copied into the corresponding BOM Operation Analysis Codes as it is added to the BOM. It can then be amended on the BOM if required.

Changing the field label will not affect the Analysis Code value copying from the Operation to the BOM Operation line.

Set Analysis Code Values

Open: Manufacturing System Manager > Operations Register > Records > New Operation | Analysis Codes
Open: Manufacturing System Manager > Operations Register > Records > Amend Operation | Analysis Codes

Select or type a value in Value column for each Analysis Code.

Calendars

Cim200 includes the option of assigning specific working calendars to operations. The working times for that specific calendar are then considered when determining how long a works order will take, or when scheduling works orders in the Cim200 Scheduler.

By default all operations are setup to use the standard working calendar defined in Cim200 Works Orders > Utilities > System Set Up > Maintain Works Order Settings > Working Week. Should you wish to change the calendar for this operation to utilise a different working calendar, select an alternative calendar in the Calendar field within the Details tab.
