The Carbon Footprint tab shows you the estimated carbon footprint of the manufactured item, expressed as KgCO2e (Kilograms of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent).
Note: The carbon footprint calculation takes place as part of the Bill of Material costing process. Each time a BOM is costed you will find a Carbon Footprint entry recorded.
The list view displays any previous carbon footprint calculations that have taken place, showing the Date when the calculation was processed, the Version of the BOM the calculation was made against, the user that processed the calculation, and the KgCO2e “carbon cost” figure.
Beneath the grid are 2 controls:
The View Breakdown button shows how the KgCO2e figure for the selected carbon footprint record is broken down, between Components, Machines and Subcontract processes.
The Show Carbon Footprint Calculations for All Bom Versions checkbox determines whether only Carbon Footprint calculations for the BOM version you are working on are displayed, or if calculations from all versions are displayed.
