The Update Operation Details utility allows users to apply changes to one or more operations across multiple areas of Cim200, including Bills of Materials, Works Orders, and Configured Quotations.
This screen replicates the Sage 200 Update Operations screen, but includes options to update Cim200 specific records (Works Orders, BOM Routes etc).
Use this section to choose which operations you want to update.
Note: Once an operation is selected, the View Operation button becomes active, allowing you to review the selected operation details before proceeding.
Specify where the updates should be applied:
Update on Bill of Materials – Updates the selected operation details on all applicable BOMs.
Update on Works Orders – Applies updates to all live works orders that are not complete or cancelled.
Update on Configured Quotations – Applies updates to all live configured quotations.
Note: If Multiple Routes are enabled in Bills of Materials, updates will be applied to all routes within the selected BOMs.
Choose which aspects of the operation should be updated across the selected records:
Resources: Updates linked resource details.
Overlap: Updates overlap settings between operations.
Delay: Updates delay times between operations.
Notes: Updates operation notes.
Subcontract Details: Updates subcontract supplier information.
Run Time: Updates operation run time values.
Shrinkage: Updates any defined shrinkage percentages.
Update manually amended operations: Includes operations that have been manually edited since they were added to a BOM/Works Order.
These options determine which resource costs will be updated.
Labour Rates: Updates cost rates on labour/labour group resources.
Machine Rates: Updates cost rates on machine/machine group resources.
Tooling Rates: Updates cost rates on tooling resources.
Subcontract Costs: Updates cost rates on subcontract supplier price breaks.
When any of the above cost options are ticked, the Cost Rate Source dropdown becomes active, allowing the user to choose the rate source:
Operation Resource Cost Rate: The rate defined on the operation register.
Resource Register Cost Rate: The rate defined on the associated labour/machine/tool register record.
Once all selections are made, Cim200 will apply the chosen updates to the selected operations across the specified record types.
After the update:
An audit record is created for each change made.
Users are prompted to confirm whether they wish to re-cost the affected BOMs, Works Orders, and/or Quotations to reflect the updated operation details.
If versioning is in use, only the active version of each record is updated.
